Certificate in Solution Focused Practice

Two Level 3 Certificate courses in Solution Focused Practice validated as a Customised Award by NCFE will be running from  January 2012. The training will be provided in West Yorkshire and Tyneside. The Certificate will involve 5 days of training and to complete the accreditation students will need to complete a learning log and submit and pass a case-based assignment.

To attend the training applicants will need to:

• Be 18 years or older
• Be engaged in direct work with people
• Have permission from their employer to attend the training and support to do so
• Have permission to use their direct work to evidence their learning
• Be able to speak and write in English to a reasonable level of ability
• Be qualified to the level of 5 GCSE’s, Level 2 NVQ or the equivalent or above.



Two day workshop by Yvonne Dolan

£125 for members £140 for non-members

Yvonne will share how a Solution-focused approach can be applied to working with people facing a variety of challenging life situations, including financial and physical loss, illness, unemployment, divorce, long term care of dependent family members, overcoming drug or alcohol dependence. Yvonne will demonstrate practical Solution-focused techniques which participants will be able to immediately incorporate into their own work settings, as well as apply to their own personal challenges.

SOLUTION FOCUSED BRIEF THERAPY COURSE

A collaborative venture between the University of Cumbria (Carlisle Campus) and Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The module facilitators are currently Janine Ross (SFBT Practitioner within Primary Mental Health Care), Keith Bickley (Family Therapist and SFBT Practitioner), Fred Ruddick (MA in Counselling), Janet Major (MA in Counselling).
